3D-Printed House in Just Two Days
Posted on 17 July 2020
3D printing is proving time and time again to be one of the most impressive inventions. Now, Czech sculptor Michal Trpak and a selection of architects have built a 3D-printed floating house in Prague – and they’ve done it in just two days!
The project, called ‘Prvok’, only took 48 hours to build, plus a few extra weeks to dry. The 3D-printed house has interesting sustainable features, like a green roof, a recirculation shower, reduced construction costs, and 20% fewer carbon emissions compared to normal construction.
The house has three rooms: a bedroom, kitchen and living area, and a bathroom. There’s also a deck surrounding the house. Plus, it’s designed to last 100 years!
