About Knowbots

Knowbots is all about cultivating curious minds by providing them with safe, age-appropriate educational content via a mobile-friendly website and range of unique products. It’s an independent initiative created by a passionate team of humans and knowledgeable robots!

The power of knowledge

The Knowbots believe that knowledge is the key to growing the next wave of leaders who are aware, inspired and connected. Teaching them about the real-world from an early age, to get them thinking about the important issues!

The insight they will gain through reading the Knowbots’ content will help empower young people and encourages them to share stories, perspectives, information, skills and ideas in innovative ways. It also gives them the confidence to amplify their powerful voices, take action, and dream up new, forward-thinking solutions to current and future global challenges.

Current affairs

Climate Change - Kid Fresh

“The planet’s average surface temperature has risen about 1.62 degrees Fahrenheit (0.9 degrees Celsius) since the late 19th century, a change driven largely by increased carbon dioxide and other human-made emissions into the atmosphere.”
- NASA

Illness - Coach Health

“Over 340 million children and adolescents aged 5-19 were overweight or obese in 2016. Once considered a high-income country problem, overweight and obesity are now on the rise in low- and middle-income countries, particularly in urban settings.”
- World Health Organization

Inequality - Professor Rights

“Over 2.7 billion women are legally restricted from having the same choice of jobs as men. While women perform 66 percent of the world’s work, and produce 50 percent of the food, they earn only 10 percent of the income and own just 1 percent of the property.”
- Amnesty International

Land Degradation - Inspector Growth

“Deforestation affects some 250 million people living in forest and savannah areas who depend on them for subsistence and income—many of them among the world’s rural poor. Eighty percent of Earth’s land animals and plants live in forests, and deforestation threatens these species.”
- National Geographic

Water Pollution - Captain Pure

“In 2017, 2 billion people worldwide did not have access to basic sanitation facilities such as toilets or latrines. 673 million people still practised open defecation, and 1.2 billion people worldwide are estimated to drink water that is not protected against contamination from faeces.”
- United Nations

Animal Cruelty - Ranger Wild

“In just over 40 years there has been a 60 percent decline in the size of populations of mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, and amphibians. The top threats to these species has a direct link to human activities, including habitat loss and degradation and the excessive use of wildlife such as overfishing and overhunting.”
- WWF
